Ninety-five Swans competed in five divisions at the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo in September. Conditions varied from a mistral to no wind at all; in the end Hall customers won four Swan titles.
In Maxi Class A, Danilo Salsi’s Swan 90 DSK Pioneer Investments won by three points over Johann Killinger’s Swan 60 Emma, both equipped with Hall Seamless spars. DSK was fresh from competing in the Rolex Maxi Cup, also sailed in Port Cervo, where they finished fourth in the Mini Maxi Division.
In Grand Prix Class B, the winner was Silveren Swaen, the Swan 53 owned by Piet Hein Bakker. Silveren Swaen is a past winner of the Swan European Regatta but this was their first time at the Swan Cup.
The Swan 45 Class crowned its World Champion at the event. Congratulations to Henrick Brandis and his team on Earlybird. In the Swan 42 Class, the winner was Enrico Scerni’s Kora 4. Both the Swan 45 and 42 are rigged with Seamless spar packages from Hall.
