(Source: Carbo-Link) The Judel/Vrolijk designed Baltic 72, STIG, has been launched in Valencia. Representing a new generation of Maxi yachts, STIG has been optimized to exceed the performance of existing Maxi’s participating in the race circuit.
STIG is equipped with full carbon rigging developed and built by Carbo-Link. This includes the lateral, forward and aft rigging with bobstay. Every fitting was custom designed to meet the exact application requirements. Throughout the process Carbo-Link worked closely with the design offices of Hall Spars, Judel/Vrolijk, SDK Structures, and Baltic Yachts in order to produce the state of the art rig. Important contributors to this project also include the Blew Stoub and Gottifredi Maffioli for loops and strops.
Carbo-Link prides itself on build accuracy. For example, the bobstay which we supplied which includes a built in 12T E-Rigging load sensor, was delivered with the exact length specified. Early reports from the crew indicate a high level of performance and overall satisfaction with the new rig.
