(Source: Doyle Rigging Palma) One of the little projects I have been working on lately is the Jammers for the 58.4 mtr sloop Kokomo. They have a special custom designed Spinlock jammer system for some of their lines, which has a carbon coffin as an insert into a special jammer body.

The Spinlock idea is great, but the aluminium ferrule that was originally built into the carbon coffin had oxidised very rapidly considering the age of the yacht. So I have designed and machined( by Links engineering) up a new improved nitronic ferrule to replace the old aluminium one. And hey presto the canon coffin insert looks like a million dollars again.

A through clean of the vesconite bearings inside and some new Jaws, these Jammers will now perform well again, and have a long sailing life.
