Chevalier Taglang published this comparison between the winged trimaran Oracle 2010 vs. Artemis / Gitana XII 2012. According to Taglang, the Oracle wing is 28 meters (91’9″) higher than Artemis ex-Gitana XII (AC72 mast)! The yellow and black dotted lines on the right design show the silhouette of Gitana XII. Joyon’s Tri ‘IDEC’ is now on tow and heading for the US eastern seaboard – final destination is yet to be confirmed. What these first pictures do tell us is that the team from Miller Marine Services managed to salvage at least parts of the mast and the boom. Messy.
